OUR MISSION (Video):

We are an interfaith  "friends and family"  mission targeting the south of Honduras, working to identify needs and endeavoring to find solutions for those needs.  With the support of our US-based partners, donors, friends and benefactors, we are working with Honduran friends who already work to serve their own people.  It is our goal to build a strong infrastructure by means of which we, in the States, may empower them to improve the health and well-being of the people of the Honduras south.

Understanding the enormity of this mission, and the undeniable fact that it will take many years, even generations, to reach these goals, we propose a step-wise approach.

OUR VISION:

HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE LIVES FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE SOUTH OF HONDURAS

The people of Honduras’ sparsely populated and arid South are among the poorest in this country which is the second poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. Their own government has forgotten them, expending few resources on the critical needs of the people of the South.

OUR GOALS:

Physical well-being for the people of the South of Honduras through basic medical and dental health care via the direct provision of services, support for the Hospital San Lorenzo, and education to sustain the availability of health care workers for the people of the South. Promotion of public health through attention to issues of air and water quality and sanitation. Adequate nutrition to assure health, education, and productivity for the people of the South.

OUR OBJECTIVES:

Direct provision of medical/dental services:

Annual brigade of professionals and support personnel from US Quarterly interim clinics by Honduran health care professionals to targeted communities
